In recent years, the capital market has generated huge amounts of goodwill assets as a result blind mergers and acquisitions (M&A), "thunderbolts" have become commonplace, with significant impact on company operations performance. To examine whether companies used surplus management to improve impairment performance in context period-end profit losses declines, this study selected sample non-financial listed Chinese A-share from 2007 - 2021 STATA15 test under moderating effect loss slip.
